The 2026 Daytona 500 race has been rescheduled to start at 1:30 PM Eastern Time. It was originally set to begin at 2:30 PM.

Unfavorable weather conditions were the reason for the change in the start time of the Daytona 500. A threat of thunderstorms is expected in Daytona later in the evening. Currently, the weather is partly cloudy, with temperatures reaching 24 degrees Celsius.
