Violet Grohl hopes to filter out some of the noise, as the news that her father, Dave Grohl, has admitted to fathering a new daughter — his fourth daughter, has left fans completely shocked.
On Tuesday, September 10, Foo Fighters vocalist, 55-year-old Dave, announced on Instagram that he recently became a father to a daughter from an unknown woman, outside of his 21-year marriage to his wife, Jordyn Blum.
Apparently, in response to the news, Violet decided to deactivate her Instagram account on Tuesday afternoon, although the exact time of deactivation remains unclear. Dave and Jordyn, whom he married in 2003, have two other daughters besides 18-year-old Violet: Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.
«I have recently become the father of a newborn daughter, born outside of my marriage», - Dave wrote. «I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything possible to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness».
Before this incident, the father and daughter were relatively close, bonding through music and even performing together at the Glastonbury festival in June 2023.
