Dillon Danis made headlines again in November 2025, but not because of a planned fight. The 32-year-old former MMA fighter, professional boxer, and submission wrestler got into a fight outside the ring at Madison Square Garden in New York, resulting in his suspension from the UFC.
This was not Danis' first public issue. The New Jersey native has had arrests and previously had a restraining order issued against him.

In November 2025, Danis got into a heated fight at MSG in New York during UFC 322 against teammates of Islam Makhachev. It took many security members to break up the fight, and UFC President Dana White explained what happened afterwards.
«I blame myself for this [fight], really», - White told reporters, according to multiple sources. «They came back and told me right before I walked out to the main card that Dillon Danis was here and he was moving around, sitting in fighters' seats and not sitting in his own seat that he had. He had a ticket. And they said, 'Do you want us to kick him out of here?' and I said, 'Does he have a ticket?' and they said, 'Yes'».
Danis' fight with others stemmed from past disagreements he had with Makhachev’s training partner, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and McGregor in 2018.
«I was told that [former UFC fighter] [Jorge] Masvidal said he was going to beat him up in front of everyone», - White added, speaking to reporters. «And I said, 'Where is Masvidal sitting?' and they said, 'Well, he’s six or seven rows away from Masvidal'. So I said, 'If the guy has a ticket, let him sit in his seat. Let him do what he does, but keep an eye on him'. It never even crossed my mind how stupid it was that the first five rows tonight were all the Muslim Brotherhood for Islam. As soon as the fight started, I was on the side and said, 'Damn, I know exactly what this is'».
White then revealed that UFC had the opportunity to press charges against Danis, but White decided not to.
«So they called me from downstairs and said, 'We have him here, do you want to press charges and arrest him?' and I said, 'No, we don’t want to press charges. This is a fight business, dude'», - White said. «You know how I feel about this crap. I could have prevented this tonight».
