Janelle Brown opened up about her relationship with ex-husband Kody Brown in a new episode of the show «Sister Wives». She admitted that their marriage became a «burden» for her and noted that they never had a clear identity as a couple.
During the discussion, Janelle, 57, shared that she and Kody, also 57, always focused on family and did not pay enough attention to their relationship. «I didn’t spend enough time thinking about our one-on-one relationship», - she remarked. According to her, at some point, she became apathetic and stopped caring about the marriage.
Janelle and Kody were married in a spiritual ceremony in 1993 and have six children together. They separated in December 2022, just before their 30th wedding anniversary. Janelle recalled that she began to realize there were problems in their relationship during the COVID-19 pandemic when Kody became strict about certain rules for the children.
She also shared that the idea of new relationships feels «very labor-intensive» to her, as her previous relationships were complicated. Nevertheless, Janelle announced in August that she has a new boyfriend named Pete.
Currently, Kody and Robyn are no longer participating in the show but remain married. Christine, on the other hand, married David Woolley in October 2023.
