The premiere of the series «Eternally Yours» on October 8 surprised viewers with an unexpected plot twist that may influence the future development of the story. In the episode of the comedy on CBS, the main character Max, played by Jaren Lewison, encountered his girlfriend Emma’s parents, who turned out to be vampires. As a result of an accident, Max was bitten by Emma’s father, Charles, and became a vampire.
Lewison noted in an interview with Us that his character will have to learn a lot of new things, and he feels overwhelmed. «I know it’s hard for Emma because he asks so many questions», - the actor added. Emma, portrayed by Helen J. Shen, emphasized that Max joining her family is a serious step, considering they have only been dating for a few months.
Lewison also mentioned that Max will make mistakes that could lead to trouble for the clan. He teased that interesting events might occur on Halloween, adding tension to Max and Emma’s relationship. Shen joked that there aren’t many places in the house where the couple could find privacy.
The series «Eternally Yours» is created by the showrunners of «Ghosts», - Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, and tells the story of vampires Charles and Liz, whose 500-year life together has become boring. The plot unfolds in modern Seattle, where their daughter Emma brings Max home, disrupting the family’s usual order.
The series airs on Thursdays at 8:30 PM Eastern Time on CBS, and new episodes are available for streaming on Paramount+ the following day.
