Recently engaged Justin Theroux clearly indicates that his ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, is still «very dear» to him six years after their divorce.
The star of «Beetlejuice», - 53-year-old Theroux, recently spoke with The Times about his upcoming film and opened up about his previous relationship with the «Friends» actress, 55-year-old Aniston.
«She is still very dear to me», - Theroux explained in an interview published on Tuesday when asked about Aniston’s recent response to comments made by Senator J.D. Vance in 2021, in which he described women similar to Vice President Kamala Harris who have not had children as «childless cat ladies who are unhappy in their lives».
«Of course, yes, I feel protective. But she handled the criticism as she should», - Theroux added.
After a video resurfaced of Vance making his comments about «childless cat ladies», - Aniston responded, «Mr. Vance, I pray that your daughter is happy enough to have children of her own. I hope she doesn’t have to turn to IVF as a second option. Because you are also trying to take that away from her».
In November 2022, Aniston told Allure, «For me, it was a difficult journey, the journey to having a child», - describing her unsuccessful attempts at in vitro fertilization.
The former couple began their relationship in 2011 and got engaged the following year. Three years later, they married in the backyard in August 2015, but announced their divorce in early 2018.
