TLC star Jazz Jennings is working on a new goal: her weight loss journey, in which she has already lost 100 pounds.
The 23-year-old girl took to Instagram to share an update on her achievement, two years after starting her workouts. On Monday, August 26, she captioned a post: «I am so proud of my accomplishments and want to thank my family, friends, and everyone who has supported me on this journey! Good health is not a certificate that is handed out; it is a constant effort!»
Her Instagram video showed clips of her running and exercising over the past two years, highlighting the difference in her weight before and after. Despite losing 100 pounds, she acknowledged that the journey is not over yet. «I still have room for improvement, but I am more motivated and inspired than ever in the past few years. Let’s keep going in the same spirit!» she added.
The Youtube star’s openness about her health journey has inspired many, including her own family, who expressed their support in the comments. Her brother, Sander Jennings, wrote: «I am so proud to be by your side every step of the way! You inspire me so much. Keep moving towards your goals».
Her mother, Jeanette Rene, commented: «I am so proud of you! I love you so much».
One fan added: «Go, girl!!! I am so proud of you!!!»
Jazz has previously been open about her struggles with eating disorders. In a June 2021 Instagram post, she revealed: «My binge eating, along with increased appetite due to some medications I am taking, led to me gaining almost 100 pounds in just under two years. I am ready to change my habits; I have said I am ready to start a new life, but I have almost run out of trees. I am ready to take the initiative and make positive changes in my health and body».
The reality show star of «I Am Jazz» on TLC became known, following her and her family as they navigate life with Jazz as a transgender woman. In an interview with Time magazine, she shared: «Since I could form coherent thoughts, I knew I was a girl trapped in a boy’s body. In my mind, there was never any doubt. It puzzled me why no one else could see what was wrong»
