Jax Taylor files for single status in divorce from Brittany Cartwright

Jax Taylor is looking to finalize his contentious divorce from Brittany Cartwright. According to his attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan, Taylor is actively working to resolve the issues related to the divorce and is not dragging out the process as Cartwright claims.
In court documents obtained by Us, Taylor, 47, requested the court to declare him legally single while he and Cartwright, 37, continue to discuss the terms of the divorce, including financial matters and custody issues. Kaplan noted that they were ready to negotiate with Cartwright’s legal team, but it was unsuccessful.
The attorney stated that Taylor wanted Cartwright to agree to the divorce, which is possible in California before resolving the other issues. However, he mentioned that no response had been received from the other side, which prompted Taylor to file a request to have his status recognized as single.
Kaplan emphasized that Taylor cares not only about his interests but also about the well-being of their five-year-old son Cruz. He expressed hope that the divorce process would move in a positive direction.
Taylor and Cartwright filed for divorce in 2024 after five years of marriage. Taylor is currently dating Lori Krebs, the couple’s former publicist.
