Jennifer Lopez has canceled her 2024 summer tour, This Is Me… Live, due to ongoing rumors about her split with husband Ben Affleck. Confirming the cancellation through her newsletter, OnTheJLo, on Friday, May 31, Live Nation also released a statement explaining that the 54-year-old pop singer is «taking a break to be with her children, family, and close friends».
According to Variety, Live Nation added: «For those who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster, tickets will be automatically refunded — fans do not need to do anything additional. For those who purchased through third-party resale sites such as SeatGeek, StubHub, VividSeats, etc. — please contact your point of purchase for additional information».
In her newsletter statement, labeled «Special Message for my JLovers», - Jennifer noted that she is «heartbroken» by this decision and promised to «make it up» to her fans in the future.
«I am completely heartbroken and devastated that I let you down», - she wrote, adding: «Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel it was absolutely necessary. I promise to make it up to you, and we will be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time».
The tour cancellation comes right after reports that Jennifer and 51-year-old Ben are having marital issues and spending time apart. Other sources have claimed that they are living separately. However, the couple has not publicly confirmed or denied these rumors.
On Thursday, May 30, Ben and Jennifer were spotted at their daughter Ben’s Violet Affleck’s graduation ceremony. Earlier this month, however, the «Jenny From the Block» singer attended the premiere of her Netflix film «Atlas» without her husband. When asked about her marriage to Ben at the event, she replied, «You know better».
Jennifer’s partner, Simu Liu, also defended her, telling the journalist, «We don’t do that».
