Jeremy Strong responds to criticism of his method acting

Jeremy Strong responded to criticism from his colleagues regarding the acting method he employs. In an interview with The New Yorker published on October 2, Strong stated that he is fully focused on serving the material and does not feel the need to apologize for his approach, which may cause discomfort to other actors.

Strong noted that his intention has never been to hinder other actors. He emphasized that his method, which he applied for the role of Kendall Roy in the HBO series «Succession», - should not create «hostility» within the team. The actor also added that he sees himself as a «detective» searching for clues to get into character, starting from scratch each time.

In the future, Strong will portray Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg in Aaron Sorkin’s film «The Social Network». He expressed hope that the film will be a dialectic rather than a polemic, and noted that he disagrees with the view that all societal problems are solely related to Facebook.
