Jerry Seinfeld celebrated his son’s graduation from school on Instagram

Jerry Seinfeld’s son, Shepherd, graduated from high school, and his mother Jessica celebrated this with a carousel of photos on Instagram, published on Tuesday, June 11.
«Our youngest son Shepherd graduated from high school yesterday. As I mentioned earlier in my stories, we gave him a flip phone for graduation, hoping he would give up his smartphone. Many of you have asked if this is his first phone — I wish! If I knew then what I know now, I would have waited until he was 14 to give him a smartphone (he was handed an old one on the bus to school in the Bronx at 12). In the last two slides is the phone that my friend Lisa @thelightphone just told me about. Very curious about this — does anyone have one? (2nd photo from our friend Peter Herman)», - the 52-year-old author captioned the post.
In addition to Shepherd, the 70-year-old «Seinfeld» alum welcomed Sasha and Julian with Jessica after they got married in 1999.
During a 2020 interview with Parents magazine, Jerry’s wife recalled how he handled fatherhood in the early stages. Due to his work schedule, he was often away from home, but eventually got the hang of it. «The nicest way to say it — he wasn’t a natural when our kids were born… He didn’t immediately start pushing strollers and carrying kids. He jokes that it took him a good 10 years to get used to it… He travels a lot and usually on weekends, so a lot of the care, sports, and activities fell to me», - shared the mother of three.
She added, «Now Jerry’s strong suit is our three teenagers… He’s patient with them. Where I’m weaker, he’s stronger, and we complement each other. I wouldn’t change a thing».
As Jerry works in comedy, he used this tactic to connect with his children. «Often, when I try to be funny around them, they say, 'Is this one of your bits, dad? Is this a new bit for you?' They’re pretty used to it», - he told E! News at the premiere of his new film «Unfrosted» on April 30
