Jethro Sheeran condemned Ed Sheeran’s cousin for removing Macklemore
Ed Sheeran’s cousin, Jethro Sheeran, publicly condemned his famous relative amid the scandal surrounding the removal of rapper Macamero from the Loop Tour due to his support for the Palestinian people. On his Instagram on September 17, Jethro wrote: «Finally, everything is coming to light! I am ashamed of my cousin Ed. Finally, the world and all his fans see him for who he really is».

Jethro, known by his stage name Alonestar, continued: «He is a selfish person with malicious, cunning intentions. I am his first cousin, and he has let me down, laughing at my mental health». He also claims that Ed has caused him professional and financial harm, and then returned to the scandal regarding Macamero’s removal.

According to Jethro, Ed Sheeran made the decision to remove Macamero from the tour himself and called him a «coward». He added that Ed creates «false narratives» to please everyone and maintain his contracts.

The scandal erupted after Ed Sheeran performed at two concerts at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where Macamero was one of the opening acts. During the performances, the rapper shouted «Freedom for Palestine» and performed his protest song «Hind's Hall». Following pressure from concert organizers, Ed and his team decided to remove Macamero from the remaining performances.

In his social media statement on September 14, Macamero noted that he does not consider himself a victim and emphasized that they have careers and families to return to. Ed Sheeran, performing at a concert in Philadelphia on September 19, apologized for his mistakes and acknowledged that he has much to learn.
