Former «Survivor» contestant Jamie Dugan and her 16-year-old son Harper have gone missing, according to the boy’s father and Dugan’s ex-husband, Eric Huffman. Court documents obtained by the Daily Mail on October 4 indicate that a judge in South Carolina found Dugan in contempt of court for failing to return Harper to his father and for not attending subsequent hearings.
The judge described Harper as «missing and endangered» and ordered Dugan’s immediate arrest. In a text message to the Daily Mail, Dugan stated that she is «absolutely not on the run» and claimed that «the FBI has not contacted me», - adding that Harper had undergone health checks with four officers.
Eric, for his part, expressed concerns for his son’s safety. «Throughout our separation and divorce, I wanted Harper to maintain a relationship with his mother», - he said. «Harper's safety and well-being are my top priority right now, and it is extremely important to bring him home safely».
Dugan and Eric met on «Survivor: China», - which aired in 2007. They began dating after the show and married in 2009, with Harper being born in 2010. The couple ultimately separated in 2024. Eric built a career as a physician’s assistant, while Dugan grew her popularity on social media as an influencer.
Attorney Jonathan Lewis, who represented Dugan at various stages of her divorce proceedings, noted that «Ms. Dugan is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law». He also expressed hope for Harper’s safe return.
The case has garnered attention in Casey, South Carolina, where a Facebook page titled «Hope for Harper» has been created. According to Michelle Cannon Smith, an alleged family friend, Harper was last seen with his mother in Casey on August 30. «I have no doubt of her love for Harper», - she wrote on Instagram on October 1.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the FBI at 803−551−4200.
