Contestant of the show «Amazing Race» Jaime Tribo emotionally reacted to her elimination from the competition, in which she and her brother Cody Langlois were competing for their mother. In an interview with Us, Jaime, 34, shared that their main goal was to provide their mom with peace of mind by relieving her of financial worries.
According to reports, Jaime and Cody, 36, participated in the show to help their mother Anje, who was diagnosed with a permanent balance disorder after a serious fall in the shower. The siblings hoped to win the $ 1 million prize to move their mom into safer housing. However, they were eliminated from the competition, finishing last in the leg in Marrakech.
Jaime noted that their motivation was their mom, and they did not pay attention to conflicts between themselves. They watched the episode of their elimination together with their mother, who also did not hold back her emotions. Cody added that their mom was very apprehensive about their participation in the show.
He also expressed his disappointment about the close outcome of the race against the grandfather-grandson duo, noting that it was tough both during the competition and while watching. «Amazing Race» airs Wednesdays at 9:30 PM Eastern Time on CBS.
