What really happened to Tony at the end of «The Sopranos»? Well, in some universe he ended up in the witness protection program and tried to recruit LeBron James to the New York Knicks. Three years after the classic HBO series ended, James Gandolfini and Edie Falco returned to their roles as Tony and Carmela Soprano in previously unseen footage made for the LeBron recruitment. The video was discovered on the podcast «Pablo Torre Finds Out» and was published online on Tuesday, April 16.

The video apparently starts two years after the finale of «The Sopranos», - with titles that read «Two years later (Somewhere in New York)». Then Edie’s voice is heard as they are shown on screen. «Tony, I’m so glad we moved to New York. Life has gotten so much better now», - she says. Carmela is seen leaning over a laptop on the kitchen table as she talks to Tony.

This is the Soprano family reunion… and much more.

Tony is sitting on the couch, reading «The New York Post», - and then lowers the newspaper, showing LeBron with a beard. «Life here is good, Carm. Even though we’re in the witness protection program», - he says, smiling. Carmela then mentions that they need to «find a place for your friend LeBron» before asking Tony about the NBA star. «He's a modern guy, but respects traditions», - he says. «He will entertain a lot of people in New York».

Tony then tells her she needs to find him a great place to live. «You need to find something magnificent, something that doesn’t exist anywhere else in the world, unique, like him», - he says, before Carmela shows him a video of the Knicks playing at Madison Square Garden, and Tony agrees that it would be great for LeBron. Jay-Z's «Public Service Announcement» plays as the words «City of Winners» are shown on screen in the Knicks' font and color scheme.

In addition to clips from «The Sopranos», - the video features many other clips with other New York celebrities, although some of them have not aged well, including Donald Trump, Rudy Giuliani, and Harvey Weinstein. Among other celebrities are Chris Rock, Robert De Niro, and Spike Lee, according to Consequence.

The video was apparently made after LeBron became a free agent in July 2010 after his first few seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Despite the Knicks' efforts, he went to Miami for the 2010 season, where he stayed until 2014
