Jane Fonda expressed concerns about the relationship between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck

The old clip, in which Jane Fonda talks to Jennifer Lopez about her relationship with Ben Affleck, has resurfaced after news that the Bennifer couple has once again split up this week.
The «caring» 86-year-old actress expressed her «concerns» about the romance in Lopez’s 2022 documentary «The Greatest Love Story Never Told», - which tells the story of the making of her latest album.
In the clip, the 55-year-old singer «Jenny from the Block» can be seen on the phone with her former film partner «Monster-in-Law». The Oscar winner began by saying, «Hi, darling. Thank you for calling. First of all, I want you to know, I’m not quite sure why, but I feel interested in you and Ben. I really want this to work out.
«However, here are my concerns», - she continued. «I feel like you’re trying too hard to prove something, instead of just living it. You know, every other picture is of you kissing and hugging».
Jennifer laughed at this and reassured her friend, «That's just our life».
However, she acknowledged Fonda’s good intentions, saying, «She really looks out for me», - and added, «She felt like you were putting yourself out there again».
Fonda then expressed her concerns to Lopez’s manager, Benny Medina — who reportedly has «bad blood» with Affleck and «can't stand him».
«I believe the whole world is rooting for this romance and this love», - Jane told Medina.
«And the idea of how you present it is so sacred, so important, that it should be handled in a way that you don’t overexpose it, to the point where it invites any form of criticism or animosity. My biggest concern is that when critics or people come at it in any way».
Jennifer and Ben first started dating in the early 2000s, got engaged in 2002, but ultimately called off their wedding plans and broke up in 2004.
The stars rekindled their relationship in 2021 and got married in July 2022 in Las Vegas at the Little White Wedding Chapel, before remarrying a month later at Affleck’s estate in Riceboro, Georgia. They were surrounded by friends and family, including Lopez’s 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, from her ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Affleck’s children from his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12.
On Tuesday, August 20, the Grammy winner filed for divorce from Affleck in the Los Angeles County Court on the anniversary of their second wedding ceremony
