Have you really seen Taylor Swift’s performance if you didn’t cry during the show? Jason Kelsey opened up about how emotional it was to see the live performance of the pop star from the «Tortured Poets» department during the latest episode of the «New Heights» podcast released on Wednesday, June 26. Former NFL star, 36-year-old Jason, enthusiastically talked about the concert alongside his brother and Taylor’s boyfriend, 34-year-old Travis Kelsey.
Considering the length of the concerts, Jason was very complimentary towards Taylor, 34, and her ability to hold the audience’s attention throughout the entire show. «It was insanely impressive. Obviously, Taylor is an amazing singer and songwriter, but then to go on stage and be a performer at that level», - he said. «If I did what she did even for one song, I would have to change my clothes».
The Super Bowl winner also joked that he couldn’t imagine performing at Taylor’s level, saying that even being a fan is its own workout. «Dude, I’m tired of these beers, and Taylor is still singing», - he joked. «I can’t feel my hand because all these friendship bracelets are cutting off my circulation».
At the end of the video, Jason admitted that he was nervous watching Taylor perform «22» and give her hat to a young fan in the crowd. «It was an amazing experience. Obviously, Swifties make it very memorable», - he said. «Dude, I’ve never cried at a concert, and I literally cried watching these little girls — I’m about to cry right now. It was just amazing. It was great».
While the London show was Jason’s first, his brother Travis had attended several shows of the «Era» tour. The final show at Wembley also marked Travis' debut on stage. Travis joined Taylor on stage during the interlude before the song «I Can Do It With a Broken Heart». He joined her dancers in a black tuxedo and helped her warm up before she exploded into the song
