Gypsy Rose Blanchard enjoyed the journey of motherhood, especially listening to the heartbeat of her unborn child.
After the 32-year-old woman was released from prison, she set out on a journey to live a full life, which for her means finding love with her partner Ken Urcer and welcoming their first child. After calling off their engagement while she was serving her sentence, they rekindled their relationship.
The expectant mother announced the news on July 9 through a video on YouTube, revealing that she was already 11 weeks pregnant. Gypsy began to notice signs indicating a possible pregnancy, expressing that she had experienced many cravings and hunger, which was unusual for her. «Ken and I are expecting our first child in January 2025. We are both very excited. It was completely unplanned, completely unexpected, but we are both very excited to embark on this new path of parenthood», - she shared.
A week after her announcement, she posted a video on Instagram showing her lying in bed at home, using a fetal doppler to listen to the baby’s heartbeat. «There it is!» she exclaimed upon hearing the sound.
«Listening to our baby’s heartbeat with a home doppler, leave your guesses about the gender in my poll», - she captioned her video. At the moment, most of her followers have voted that the baby will be a girl.
Despite the exciting journey, many left comments expressing that she had previously not wanted her child to be exposed to the influence of social media due to the hate and criticism she received for her past actions.
One user shared: «So you changed your mind about sharing your child, this really puts the child on social media».
Gypsy responded: «Sharing my pregnancy journey is different from showing my child after birth to be poisoned on the internet. I will not allow my child to be subjected to criticism, threats, humiliation, and cruelty from cruel people who infect my social media».
While some expressed negative comments, others decided to support Gypsy. Another user said: «I am so happy for her. I absolutely do not care what happened in the past»
