Gypsy Rose Blanchard spoke out about how Ken Urquhart’s sister, Autumn, is allegedly damaging the legacy of her late ex-fiancé following his untimely death. In her Instagram post on October 13, she stated, «I want to address this once and only once. Just because someone is family does not mean they have the right to speak on behalf of that person».
Blanchard noted that she never had a good relationship with Autumn, who was against their romance from the very beginning. She claims that in the six months leading up to Urquhart’s death on October 1, she witnessed Autumn publicly criticize him on social media.
According to Blanchard, seeing Autumn interact with the media after Ken’s death, after she publicly humiliated him, is «deeply troubling and disrespectful to his memory». She also added that during her last phone call with Urquhart, he informed her that Autumn had threatened to escalate her public attacks on him.
Blanchard emphasized that it is particularly concerning to see Autumn behave as an «authority» on Urquhart’s personal life, given their complicated relationship. She assured that she will continue to defend Ken’s memory and speak about the kind of person he was, as well as the love he gave to his loved ones.
Ken Urquhart was found dead in his home in Raceland, Louisiana, on the day of his 34th birthday. A representative from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Urquhart was already deceased upon arrival at the scene. Investigators previously reported that there were no signs of foul play at the location, and the cause of death has not yet been determined.
