Gypsy Rose Blanchard shared memories of her late former partner Ken Urquhart, who passed away at the age of 34 on October 1. In an interview with Page Six published on October 10, Blanchard revealed that she last saw Urquhart on September 22, when she surprised him with food delivery from Burger King. She noted that she did not know it would be their last meeting.
Urquhart was found dead in his home in Raceland, Louisiana, on his 34th birthday. A representative from the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that law enforcement arrived at the scene and found Urquhart already deceased. The cause of death has not yet been determined; however, investigators previously stated that there were no signs of foul play at the scene.
Blanchard also shared a text exchange with Urquhart from that day, where she jokingly suggested he leave her a «five-star» rating on DoorDash. She expressed gratitude that one of her last memories of Ken was light-hearted and filled with kindness.
Following Urquhart’s death, Blanchard launched a petition calling for the creation of a law that would «hold social media accountable for how they handle complaints of online harassment». She noted that Urquhart faced «a tremendous amount of online criticism and targeted harassment» in the days leading up to his death but did not receive adequate responses from social platforms.
Blanchard emphasized that her initiative is not aimed at suppressing criticism but at protecting the humanity of public figures. She promised her followers that Urquhart’s death inspired her to «turn pain into purpose».
