Gypsy Rose spoke about her wedding to Ken Urquhart before his death
Gypsy Rose Blanchard spoke about her dreams of marrying Ken Urquhart just months before his tragic death at the age of 34. In an interview with TMZ in May, she mentioned that she wanted to have a big wedding with a lavish dress and family, as she had married for the first time in a prison visitation room.

Gypsy Rose and Ken began corresponding while she was serving time for her involvement in her mother’s murder in 2015. After the release of the HBO documentary «Mommy Dead and Dearest» in 2017, Ken wrote her a supportive letter. In October 2018, he proposed to her, but the couple broke up the following year. Gypsy Rose married Ryan Anderson in a prison ceremony in July 2022, but their marriage fell apart in early 2024. After that, she reunited with Ken, and in December of the same year, they welcomed a daughter named Aurora.

On October 1, Ken Urquhart was found unconscious in his home in Raceland, Louisiana, on his 34th birthday. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed his death, stating that deputies arrived at the scene at 6:15 PM and found Urquhart deceased. The report indicated that Urquhart had attended church with Gypsy Rose and her brother Dylan on September 30, where he expressed his worries and depression.

Gypsy Rose commented on Urquhart’s death, stating that she did not know if it was intentional. She expressed confusion and grief, saying she could not come to terms with it. In the May interview, she also spoke about the pressure they both felt regarding societal expectations for their wedding, noting that their relationship already resembled a marriage, as they were raising a child and living together.
