Jonathan Van Tobel criticizes Bill Belichick for behavior towards repo
The host of the radio show defended ESPN reporter Stormy Buonantoni, who faced a cold reception from NFL coach Bill Belichick. On the September 21 episode of Money Moves, Jonathan Van Tobel called Belichick’s behavior «absolutely unprofessional» and «complete and total rudeness».

Buonantoni, in addition to her on-field work for ESPN, also participates in the Money Moves program alongside Van Tobel. The host noted that Belichick was polite to her during meetings on Friday, but showed clear indifference during the interview following the North Carolina vs. Clemson game on September 19. When asked about the number of penalties, he replied, «Too many. Too many». When asked what else needed improvement, Belichick simply said, «No, we just need to do our jobs better. Too many penalties».

After the interview, Buonantoni remarked that the atmosphere on the field was «completely different» compared to previous encounters. Van Tobel added that this was not the first instance of interaction between them and that Belichick «was deliberately pretending not to hear» her. He also emphasized that no one has the right to treat his colleague that way, especially intentionally.

Van Tobel also spoke out on social media, noting that Belichick lost the game in which he displayed rudeness towards Buonantoni. As a result, the game ended with Clemson winning 28−20 after a tense second half.
