Vivienne Jolie — winner of the Tony Award! The 15-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt was spotted on stage with the actors and crew of the play «Outsider» on Sunday, June 16, after the production received an award for best musical.
After the winner was announced, Vivienne and her mother, 49-year-old Angelina, stood alongside the production team as they accepted the prize. Mother and daughter wore a dark turquoise color for the evening, with Angelina shining in an Atelier Versace dress, and Vivienne wearing a suit and bow tie at the event, which took place at the David H. Koch Theater in New York.
Earlier, Angelina told Deadline about what it was like to work with her teenage daughter on the musical.
«My daughter Vivienne loves the theater», - explained Angelina in an interview published on June 10. «She appreciates all theatrical art, but of course, knows what she feels close to and what resonates with her. She attended the play 'Outsider' in La Jolla about five times and told me about it, and I read the book and saw the movie many years ago».
«Outsider» is based on the novel of the same name, published in 1967. The film adaptation was released in 1983. It focuses on the teenager Ponyboy Curtis in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where two rival gangs named the Socs and the Greasers clash due to their social status.
Speaking to Deadline about the impact of the story on her daughter, Angelina explained what it was like to work with Vivienne.
«It was a completely different experience of understanding how it has a significant impact on her as a young person right now, and she is passing something on to me, and it is the power of this material, which was already in very good shape then», - said the star of «Interrupted Moments». «And then I was lucky enough to watch everyone work over the past year to make it what it is, and Vivienne was there every step of the way».
In addition to Vivienne, Angelina shares children Shiloh, Zahara, Maddox, Pax, and Knox with her ex-husband Brad.
