Teddy is the daughter of the famous singer John Mellencamp.
Teddy’s mother is Victoria Granucci, an actress and former wife of the singer. Victoria and John were married from 1981 to 1989 and had two children.
Teddy is one of John’s five children. The singer’s first daughter, Michelle Suzanne Mellencamp, was born on December 4, 1970, from his former wife Priscilla Esterline. Then he had two daughters with Victoria: Teddy, the second daughter, was born on July 1, 1981, and Justice Mellencamp, born in Indiana in August 1985. However, on Wednesday, February 12, 43-year-old Teddy shared on Instagram that she now has multiple tumors in her brain. «For the past few weeks, I have been suffering from severe and exhausting headaches. Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization. After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months».
Teddy was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma in March 2022. She shared that she had spots removed from her back after her friend Kyle Richards advised her to get checked because it looked like skin cancer. She also shared photos of the spots and how they looked after removal. «I am doing everything I can to stay present and positive as I head to [filming] today. Grateful to be busy to keep my mind from running away while I wait for results», - she wrote at the time. «I find strength in being honest with all of you and hope it helps others. Please let this be a reminder to act on your skin»
