Kelly Ripa is not your average mom; she’s a cool mom.
On Thursday, August 22, Ripa and Mark Consuelos' daughter, Lola Consuelos, posted photos from a sunny day on Instagram, one of which included a bold topless photo of her sunbathing on her stomach on a lounge chair.
«Is this modest?» the 23-year-old captioned the post, referencing a viral term popularized by TikToker Jools Lebron.
In a fitting response, Ripa, 53, quickly noted, «It's very attentive».
In the second photo, Lola was in an olive bikini with a blue and white beach towel under her arms. She completed the look with a colorful bandana in her dark hair, silver and gold earrings, and sunglasses.
The hosts of «Live with Kelly and Mark» have always supported their daughter. In 2023, Lola graduated from New York University, and the couple, who also raise sons Michael, 27, and Joaquin, 21, posted separate posts with the same montage of different clips of the graduate.
In September 2021, Ripa told Entertainment Tonight about watching their children grow up: «We blinked, unfortunately, and now they’re adults».
«I think that’s really the worst part — that we didn’t slow down in real time to appreciate that aspect of them when they were little, because we were so busy protecting and convincing them to become good people and all that», - she said.
Lola, who studied music and production at NYU, released her debut single «Paranoia Silverlining» in August 2022. (She used the dreamy track as the audio for her recent summer post.) Less than a year later, in July 2023, Lola released her second single «Divine Timing».
Regarding her second single, she told PEOPLE in 2023: «I would say this song can be described as soulful, possibly a bit alternative. I think overall my sound can be described like that, but I also experiment with a lot of different genres constantly, so it’s kind of everywhere. I have a lot of songs that I haven’t released yet that are a little jazzy, a little house».
«Be a fan of yourself and support yourself — support your sound. If you like listening to a certain type of song or sound, create it. My inspiration also comes from music I’ve heard before — not in the sense that I’m copying it, but from sounds that can evoke the same type of feeling», - she added
