However, Stern’s biggest legacy may be at home. He shares three daughters — Emily Beth, Deborah Jennifer, and Ashley Jade — with his first wife, Alison Berns. The couple married in 1978 and welcomed their daughters in 1983, 1986, and 1993. His youngest daughter, Ashley, reportedly married her fiancé Adam in June 2023.

Emily Beth Stern was born on May 7, 1983, on Long Island, New York, and has definitely inherited her father’s creative personality, as she is a singer, actress, and artist. After graduating from the theater department at Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, Emily appeared in several theatrical productions. However, a scandal arose when she was invited to play in an off-Broadway production called Kabbalah, where actors were asked to appear naked. When the show received mixed reviews, the director reportedly used Emily’s last name and released an unauthorized video of her nearly naked to promote the production. With the help of her father’s lawyers, she was able to get out of the contract.
After that, she began delving into the Jewish faith and enrolled in the Drisha Institute to become a Torah scholar, studying texts of the Old Testament. She also had exhibitions of her photography. In 2012, Emily released an album of original songs called Birth Day, which included «Remembering Love» and «Love the Child Who Cries».
Born on May 9, 1986, Deborah tried her hand in Hollywood for a short time, appearing in the sitcom Parker Lewis Can’t Lose. After a few small roles in TV movies, Deborah turned her attention to education. She earned a degree in humanities, a doctorate as an «independent education consultant», - and a doctorate in reading, writing, and literacy from the University of Pennsylvania. She is also a principal partner at the branding consulting firm Deborah Stern Partners.
On October 8, 2016, Deborah married her longtime boyfriend Colin Christie, who is the founder of Hapa Inada Designs. Since they keep a relatively low profile, it is unknown if the couple has children.
The youngest of Howard’s three children is daughter Ashley, born on January 24, 1993, in Old Westbury, Long Island, New York. Unfortunately, Ashley was only 8 years old when her parents decided to separate. Her mother remarried David Scott Simon, and her father married actress and model Beth Ostrosky.
Although little is known about Ashley, as she does not post on social media and is very private, it is clear that she gets along well with her stepmother, Beth. The pair have been photographed together at many events over the years, accompanying Howard with wide smiles.
In June 2023, it was reported that Ashley married her fiancé Adam.
