Music and performances by Doja Cat are not for children, she clarified in a series of tweets. Less than a week after finishing her second weekend at Coachella with a provocative performance, the 28-year-old rapper turned to Twitter to criticize parents for apparently bringing their «offspring» to her explicit shows.

«I don’t know what you think, but I don’t make music for children, so leave your children at home, bastard [sic]», - Doja wrote on Thursday, April 25.

She then added in two separate tweets: «I rap about sperm, why are you bringing your offspring to my show [sic]», - and then «I rap about sucking dick and peeing on his cut, leave your mistake at home [sic]».

Although it is not yet clear who she was responding to on the network, some speculated that she noticed complaints about her public persona and creativity. Last weekend, Doja concluded her performances at Coachella with a dirty and sexual rendition of her song «Wet Vagina». The artist from «Vegas» twerked and danced on stage, surrounded by dirt.

Last year, the Grammy winner reacted to rumors accusing her of underestimating her fan base.

«One thing I want to clarify is: you will never see a direct quote from me saying that I hate my fans. Not once», - she said in December 2023 on Apple Music with Ebro. «But it is very often misquoted. Everyone says 'She hates her fans.' I never said that, but I love playing with it like a meme».

She continued: «I know those who understand, understand. And I like that. I don’t need to explain my sense of humor and explain comedy to anyone. If people don’t see the joke, then they just don’t see the joke, and it’s not my duty to make them understand».

At that time, Doja referred to the moment when she expressed her dissatisfaction with fans on Threads for using her real name (Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini) online, according to Billboard.

«I can’t make everyone happy, and that’s just how it is», - she added then. «I just can’t, and I know I can’t, so it really freed me»
