The OceanGate documentary film will be available for viewing on Netflix from June 11, 2025. Director Mark Monroe told Netflix’s Tudum before the release of the documentary film that he was «horrified and charmed by the 24/7 news coverage and global social media discussions [about the disappearance of the Titan] - just like the whole world».
«There was no context for what could have happened to those on board, and the only anchor was the Titanic, a story that has now become a dark fairy tale», - Mark added. «The more I delved into this terrible tragedy, the more I became interested in how it could have happened in the first place, and who exactly was the person who built and then submerged with this ship. We hope that this film will help provide answers to these questions»
