A conflict has arisen between Dolly Parton’s nephew Brian Seever and her manager Danny Nozell regarding Seever’s dismissal and his companies from the singer’s security team. Nozell has filed a lawsuit requesting a restraining order against Seever, along with allegations of threats made by him.
In the lawsuit, which was obtained by the publication «Extra», - Nozell claims that Seever sent threatening messages in which he referred to himself as a «killer» and a «hitman». In one of the messages, Seever allegedly stated that he planned to create a podcast dedicated to destroying Dolly’s brand and her partnerships. Nozell also noted that Seever began his threats weeks before Parton’s death, promising to «destroy the entire brand».
Seever denied the allegations, stating in an interview with ABC News that Dolly referred to him as «her killer» in a joking context and that Nozell took his words out of context. He insists that he has never threatened anyone.
The judge ruled in favor of Nozell, temporarily prohibiting Seever from communicating with the employees and partners of «She's Alive L.L.C». Meanwhile, Dolly’s sister, Frieda Parton, posted on Instagram stating that there are no disagreements within the family and that everyone loves each other. Her sister Stella also confirmed this, noting that the family is going through tough times but remains united.
