As the presidential race comes to a close, Donald Trump has scheduled an interview with Joe Rogan on his podcast, which has around 15.7 million subscribers — exceeding the population of any of the seven key battleground states in the election.

Meeting with the comedian and UFC announcer is a clear strategy of the former president to connect with young male audiences. The Republican candidate has also appeared on comedian Theo Von’s popular show «This Past Weekend» and the «Full Send» podcast hosted by pro-Trump NELK Boys (Nick, Elliot, Lucas, and Kyle). But Trump is not the only one using these platforms; Kamala Harris has previously appeared on the popular show «Call Her Daddy» hosted by Alex Cooper.

According to Edison Research, podcasts reach 48% of Americans aged 18−34 weekly. Rogan, a former host of the reality show Fear Factor on NBC in the mid-2000s, has approximately 17.5 million subscribers on YouTube and 19.3 million followers on Instagram. Along with his listeners on Spotify, he reaches an impressive audience of around 52.5 million people.

According to many media reports, Rogan is set to interview Trump in his studio in Austin this Friday. Although the release date of the episode has not been announced, the show usually does minimal editing and publishes episodes quickly, often on the same day as the recording, according to Lulu Cheng Meservy, Vice President of Public Relations at Substack.

Those interested in listening to or watching Trump on Rogan’s podcast can find the episode on most podcast platforms, including Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Podcasts.

In 2022, Rogan stated on Lex Fridman’s podcast that he «does not support Trump at all», - describing him as a «polarizing figure» and a «significant threat to democracy». At that time, Rogan also revealed that he had turned down several opportunities to invite Trump to his show, saying, «I've turned him down every time. I don’t want to help him».

Rumors suggest that Harris, who is also in the state at the same time, may also appear on the podcast. However, according to Reuters, while representatives of Harris' campaign have met with Rogan’s team, the appearance of the Democratic presidential candidate on The Joe Rogan Experience will not happen due to scheduling conflicts
