Drake responded after Kendrick Lamar released his latest diss tracks with «The Heart Part 6» on Sunday, May 5th. The 37-year-old rapper from Toronto dropped the track after K. Dot, 36, attacked him twice with the songs «Meet the Grahams» and «Not Like Us». Drake’s new song came out after rumors that someone in his circle was leaking information to Kendrick, and Drizzy claimed he fed false information after some accusations from the rapper «Humble».
Following the release of «Euphoria», Kendrick followed up with the track «6:16 in LA». A few hours later, Drake responded with the track «Family Matters», to which Kendrick replied with the harsh song «Meet the Grahams». In the song, Kendrick made several accusations against Drake, but also accused him of having an 11-year-old daughter he was absent from. Drake quickly denied this claim on social media. Kendrick once again attacked Drake on Saturday with the song «Not Like Us», where he also talked about accusations of pedophilia against Drake and his OVO colleagues.
A day after «Not Like Us», Drake released «The Heart Part 6». He claimed that the story about the daughter was fabricated. «We planned this for a week, then fed you the information/A daughter who’s 11, I’m sure you’ll take that», he says. «You need to learn to fact-check and be less impatient».
Drake also denied the accusations regarding underage girls. «I've never been with underage girls, but now I understand why you stick to that angle», he raps. «If I was having sex with young girls, I would definitely be arrested/I'm too famous for that shit you’re assuming».
The beef between Kendrick and Drake started with a mention he received in Drake’s 2013 song «First Person Shooter», where J. Cole called the trio of rappers the «Big Three» of rap. Kendrick responded to the song with a surprise verse in Metro Boomin and Future’s song «Like That», which prompted responses from Cole («7 Minute Drill») and Drake («Push Ups» and «Taylor Made Freestyle»)
