Drake Bell admitted that he has been in contact with his on-screen brother Josh Peck since he made a statement about being sexually assaulted by dialogue coach Brian Peck (no relation) in childhood. Drake, 37, defended Josh, 37, in the long-awaited fifth episode of the documentary series «Silence on the Set», - which aired on Sunday, April 7.

Since the documentary film was released, several people on the internet have started attacking Josh, and Drake defended him. «I know what it’s like when the internet attacks you for absolutely nothing», - he said in the episode. «It's really hard to come to terms with».

Drake also explained that Josh reached out to him personally, and they have been in contact since the shocking documentary was released. He also expressed his love for his on-screen brother. «Ultimately, we have such a close and unique bond that is so rare in this industry, that, I don’t know, it’s really special, and he’s a really wonderful person», - he said.

A few days after the documentary film was released and Drake shared the accusations, a participant in «The Amanda Show» urged his followers to «approach this a little more calmly», - explaining that his partner had reached out to him personally. «I just want to tell you that this is really — processing this and going through this — is really an emotional time, and many of this is very, very difficult. So not everything is put on public display», - he said. «But he reached out to me to talk to me and help me get through this».

Josh later posted his own statement on Instagram, letting people know that he supports all those who have come forward. «I reached out to Drake personally, but I want to express my support for the survivors who have been brave enough to share their stories of emotional and physical violence on Nickelodeon sets with the world. Children need to be protected. Going through this publicly is very difficult, but I hope it can bring healing to the victims and their families, as well as necessary changes in our industry», - he said
