Drake May expresses skepticism about moon landing
Quarterback of the New England Patriots, Drake Maye, expressed his doubts about the moon landing during an appearance on WEEI radio on October 5. He noted that he is not 200 percent sure that humans actually landed on the moon, adding, «I'm a little skeptical».

Maye found support from the show’s host, Rich Shertenlieb, who also voiced doubts on the matter, claiming that he believes the moon landing was staged by director Stanley Kubrick. Shertenlieb suggested that Maye read literature on the topic, stating that he believes in the theory that the landing did not happen.

The quarterback attempted to clarify his position, saying that he is not 100 percent sure, and recalled that he studied conspiracy theories in college, including the satirical idea that «birds aren’t real». He did not specify whether he believes birds are government drones used to surveil citizens.

Maye’s comments came after his successful game on October 4, in which he completed 22 of 37 passes for 269 yards and three touchdowns, helping the team secure a victory over the Buffalo Bills with a score of 29−26, improving their record to 2−2. Interest in the moon landing theory has recently increased in the Boston sports community; in March, Boston Celtics player Derrick White also expressed doubts about it.
