A friend of Mariah Carey’s late sister Alison spoke out about their distant relationship in a new interview. During a conversation with The U.S. Sun on Tuesday, August 27, David Baker claimed that the 55-year-old pop singer was «told» that Alison was dying «a month» before her death.
«No, Mariah never tried to contact Alison, even after being told a month ago that Alison was dying», - David claimed. «A call or, even better, a video call could have meant so much to Alison. But it didn’t happen».
He then pointed out Mariah’s statement about Alison’s death.
«And now Mariah is 'broken' from losing her mother and 'former' sister», - he continued, claiming, «Alison was unhappy that her 'younger sister' cut off contact with her. She often talked about it. She wondered if Mariah or any of her relatives would come to her funeral. … This callous rejection added more pain to Alison’s suffering».
