To be honest, it sounds like it would be exhausting to hear people shouting the same word all day. Ebon Moss-Bachrach, who plays the beloved character Richie Jeramovich in the FX series «Bear», - admitted that it can be tiring for him when fans of the show constantly shout «cousin», - as the character Carmi, played by Jeremy Allen White, does when he’s out on the street. The 47-year-old Ebon shared his experience of success in a new interview with The Guardian, published on Wednesday, June 19.
If you somehow missed the great show «Bear», - Ebon plays restaurant manager Carmi. Richie is also a longtime family friend, close enough for Carmi to call him «cousin». When they talk to each other, Carmi rarely even calls him «Richie», - instead referring to him as «cousin». Even when he gets heated, he still uses the title «cousin». In turn, it seems that many fans use this to address Ebon.
Ebon admitted that sometimes it gets annoying to constantly hear his name from the show being shouted. «I get a lot of comments. People shout 'cousin!' at me all day», - he told The Guardian. «Sometimes, you know, you’re just not having a great day. And you’re just like, sorry dude, I don’t have much for you».
Earlier in the conversation, Ebon shared his surprise at some of the places where fans of the show approached him. «I was on top of a small mountain outside of Kyoto, and a Korean couple came up to me and said they liked the show», - he explained.
While Ebon’s character is one of the bright spots in the show, Jeremy has undoubtedly captured the hearts of fans online. The «Punisher» actor admitted that he does everything he can to support the star of «Shameless». «I'm not even sure I can say I’m happy for him. Because he finds it all pretty funny. So no, I try to support him. And mostly I try to protect him when fans get really excited», - he said
