The founder of Theranos, who is currently serving a reduced 9-year sentence (reduced from 11 years and 3 months), gave a rare interview from the Federal prison camp in Bryan, Texas, where she detailed her prison schedule and emphasized that life behind bars is not meant for people.
«People are not meant to be in cages», - Holmes told PEOPLE on Wednesday, February 12th. «It is beyond comprehension. I am trying very hard not to cry right now. I am trying to grow, because every moment matters. And if one life can be touched trying to help them in crisis, it matters».

«It kills me that I am causing my family pain the way I am», - Holmes added. «But when I look at my life and at these angels that have come into it, I can overcome everything. It makes me fight for all of this».
