Amy Duggar spoke out about her cousin Josh Duggar’s attempts to appeal his child pornography conviction. In an episode of the podcast «Fire Chats: The Mindfire Pod», - she stated, «Enough already», - adding that Josh, in her opinion, behaves like a typical narcissist who cannot accept his guilt.
Josh Duggar, who was convicted in December 2021 for receiving and possessing materials depicting the sexual abuse of children, was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Despite this, he continues to assert his innocence and is filing appeals, citing errors in the judicial process.
Amy noted that she finds his desire to appeal comical and added, «Just rot there». She expressed doubt that Josh would be released early, stating, «There's no way he’s getting out». He is expected to leave prison in February 2033, although his release date has already been postponed several times.
Despite Amy’s criticism, Josh continues to receive support from his wife Anna Duggar, who is raising their seven children in Arkansas. Amy also emphasized that she does not regret distancing herself from most of her relatives, calling their situation a «circus».
