Emilia Clarke transforms, inspired by her inner Daenerys Targaryen, when she added blonde highlights to her brunette hair.
The 37-year-old actress showcased her new look on Instagram on Sunday, July 7, when she attended the British Formula 1 Grand Prix and posed with Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz, and the team.
She was dressed in a military green dress that appeared styled as pants with a belt, and completed her look with a black jacket. In the second Instagram carousel, where all the Formula 1 moments were gathered, she wrote: «SILVERSTONE. In another life, I was a Formula 1 driver. Yesterday I was lucky enough to spend time with their beautiful cars. And I didn’t try to hold back my emotions».
Although her look was not exactly the same platinum blonde as in «Game of Thrones», - she recalled in an interview for Harper’s Bazaar how damaging dyeing her hair had been. «My advice to anyone who wants to lighten their hair, don’t do it; it destroys your hair, so just stop lightening it… If you want to be a blonde, just wear a wig or add highlights, because it completely ruined my hair», - she said.
Later in the interview, she shared: «My hair became like straw and was falling out. Then I cut it all off. The proudest thing is that I got my hair back in order. Now I don’t do anything to it and use really nice products. Sometimes I add a little light color to my hair, and I like it».
She plays the powerful role of Daenerys, who controls dragons, since the first season aired in 2011. The series, which also starred Sophie Turner, Kit Harington, Maisie Williams, and others, became a hit and concluded in 2019 after eight seasons and 73 episodes
