It was almost like an escape from reality, being able to look at fashion».
She added, «When I came to America, I was often asked what it was like to be a black woman in business, and honestly, that was never my reality or experience in Europe, that anyone would even ask me those questions. I felt that with my position and what I was able to build for myself and where I am now in my life, it would be right to use that».
Emma met Kris Jenner at a fashion show during Paris Fashion Week in 2015 and pitched her the idea of a denim company, which became Good American. In 2019, she co-founded SKIMS with Kim, and the shapewear brand became highly popular.
