Erika Kirk commented on the accusations of racism against her late husband, Charlie Kirk. In an interview published on September 29 in Vanity Fair, she emphasized that she wants to be careful and sincere in her responses, adding that she does not want to comment without understanding the context.
During the interview, Erika was asked about a statement made by Charlie that was often quoted before his death in September 2025. He claimed that «in America’s cities, Black people hunt white people for sport». Erika noted that Charlie’s words were taken out of context and were related to a viral video from 2023, in which a pregnant white woman chased a group of Black men over a bike rental dispute.
In a separate interview with CBS News in December 2025, Erika stated that Charlie did not pay attention to people’s skin color or religion but valued hard work and achievements. She also shared her political views, noting that she votes the same way as her husband. When asked about the 2020 election, when Donald Trump lost to Joe Biden, she said that once a decision is made, one must move on, just like in sports.
Regarding the Second Amendment, Erika noted that if someone wants to commit a crime, they will find a way to do so, and that is a problem of human nature, not of the amendment. She added that her political beliefs are based on a «biblical perspective» and a desire to live in a way that brings her closer to the heavens.
