Ashlyn Harris and Sophia Bush appeared on the red carpet together with Harris’s two children at the A Sense of Home gala dinner, which took place on September 23 in New York City. The event aimed to raise funds to prevent homelessness among youth aging out of the foster care system, and Harris and Bush were honored with an award.
During their joint appearance, Harris noted, «Someone believed in us. Someone opened a door for us. Someone gave us a place where we could feel safe and dream».
Ashlyn Harris, 40, filed for divorce from her former wife, soccer player Ali Krieger, in September 2023 after nearly four years of marriage. The divorce was finalized in January 2025. Harris began dating Bush in October 2023. In an exclusive interview with Us, Harris emphasized that all parties are working to establish co-parenting for the children. Krieger, 41, has been dating Scottish soccer player Jen Beattie since November 2024.
Harris also stated that she respects Krieger as the mother of her children and does not want to speak poorly of her. She added, «I am proud of what we built together and do not regret the life I created with her; it just wasn’t for me». Harris shared her thoughts on the divorce, saying that she tried to make the relationship work but realized that life is too short to remain in a state where she couldn’t get out of bed.
