Sharpey Evans would never have found herself on the sidelines of the group, but Ashley Tisdale claims that this happened to her. In an essay titled «Breaking Up with My Toxic Mom Group. I Thought I Found My Village. Instead, I Found Myself in High School», - the 40-year-old Disney Channel star shared her experience of interacting with an anonymous group of women, which internet users speculated included famous friends Hilary Duff, Mandy Moore, and Meghan Trainor.

The women met several times, as seen in old photos, and Ashley is no longer following Hilary and Mandy; thus, social media sleuths began to dig deeper into this story. So what did Ashley say about the reaction to her essay?

Here’s what we know about the «mom group» that Ashley was a part of.

In the essay published in The Cut, Ashley described the «ugly» behavior of the group and her feelings of exclusion, which left her «hurt, drained, and on the sidelines».

«I realized that there were group chats that not everyone was included in, which led to the formation of cliques within the larger group», - wrote the star of «The Suite Life of Zack & Cody». «And after the third or fourth time I saw photos on social media where everyone else was at a gathering I wasn’t invited to, it started to feel like I wasn’t really part of the group».

Ashley recalled sitting alone one night after putting her daughter to bed, feeling completely lost and not understanding what she was doing «wrong» to be excluded from her «frenemy» group. Although she «never thought of the moms as bad people [except] maybe one of them», - she cut ties when «the dynamic stopped being healthy and positive».

«It feels too much like high school for me, and I don’t want to be a part of it anymore», - Ashley concluded.

Ashley never names names in her essay about the «toxic mom group», - although internet users speculated that it included Hilary, Mandy, Meghan, and other women who had been spotted in past photos.

Ashley’s representative denied that the essay in The Cut ever referred to Mandy, Hilary, or Meghan. As noted by TMZ, the representative insisted that there is «not a shred of truth to what online 'detectives' think they’ve figured out». The publication also added that the representative stated Ashley was drawing on «her own experience of exclusion from social gatherings», - which raises «a very real issue in mom circles»
