The FX series «The Lowdown» presents viewers with Ethan Hawke in a completely new light. According to the official description of the series from FX, «powerful forces want to stop Lee from learning anything else» about the secret in Tulsa.
«When Lee’s latest piece — a deep dive into the powerful Wosberg family — is immediately followed by the suspicious suicide of Dale Wosberg, the family’s black sheep, Lee realizes he has stumbled onto something big», - the description reads. «Following the breadcrumbs left by Dale, calling for a deeper look into the circumstances of his death, Lee does just that. What Lee finds is that Betty Jo, the grieving widow, seems more interested in her brother-in-law Donald Wosberg, a gubernatorial candidate, than in her late husband. And powerful forces want to stop Lee from learning anything else».
In addition to executive producer and star Ethan, who plays Lee Raybon, the rest of the cast includes Ryan Kiera Armstrong as Francis, Kanietio Horn as Samantha, Tim Blake Nelson as Dale Wosberg, Jean Triplehorn as Betty Jo, Kyle MacLachlan as Donald Wosberg, and Keith David as Marty.
