Fans were thrilled by Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan’s performance last night. During her show as part of the GUTS World Tour in Inglewood, California, 21-year-old hitmaker of «good 4 u» welcomed 26-year-old Chappell on stage, calling her «one of the most unique, inspiring, powerful artists [she's] ever met».

«And I’m so happy because she’s about to perform one of my all-time favorite songs!» Olivia added, according to fan-captured videos.

When Chappell took the stage, Olivia embraced the «Pink Pony Club» artist before they started the song. They even performed the song’s signature dance moves, while the audience erupted in applause.

This is not the first time Olivia and Chappell have worked together. From February to April of the GUTS World Tour, Chappell was Olivia’s opening act. Furthermore, the musical colleagues have provided vocal support for each other in the past. Chappell sang on two tracks from Olivia’s GUTS album, «lacy» and «obsessed».

Speaking to Capital Buzz in January, Chappell explained that she and Olivia «work in the same studio, and [songwriter] Dan [Nigro once asked me], 'Are you free right now, can you help?'»

«So, I go in and sing harmonies, because the song has different tones that sound really good together», - Chappell pointed out, adding, «I like that [Olivia] is open to another vocalist; she’s so sweet to me».

Shortly before taking the stage with Olivia on August 20, Chappell opened up about her discomfort with «overzealous» fans in two TikTok videos. In the videos posted on Monday, August 19, the «Casual» artist asked her followers if they think it’s «normal» for the public to «stalk» and «harass» celebrities.

«I don’t care if abuse and harassment, stalking, whatever, is a normal thing for people who are famous or slightly known, whatever», - she said. «I don’t care if that’s normal. I don’t care if this crazy behavior comes with the job, the field I’ve chosen. It doesn’t make it normal, it doesn’t make it okay. It doesn’t mean I want it, it doesn’t mean I like it».

At the end of one of her videos, Chappell reaffirmed her stance, saying, «I don’t care if you think it’s selfish of me to say 'no' to a photo or your time or a hug. It’s not normal. It’s weird»
