Feid: from songs for stars to his own hits and arenas — a success story

Feyd, whose real name is Solomon Viyada Oyos, was born in Medellin, Colombia on August 19, 1992, and became known worldwide in the coffee industry.
The 31-year-old artist began his musical career as a songwriter and producer for well-known performers such as J Balvin, Christina Aguilera, Nicky Jam, and others. Although he helped other artists release hits, he felt the need to explore another side of the industry as a singer.
The singer «Chorrito Pa Las Ánimas» openly spoke about the influences on his music, which date back to the early 2000s, blending them with an urban style. Coming from the 90s, much of the music he grew up with came from famous rappers such as Notorious B.I.G. — who, as he shared in a recent interview for Complex, was his favorite rapper, as well as from Latin American reggaeton artists like Yandel.
A breakthrough for Ferxso — his alter ego — came when he released the song «Que Raro» featuring J Balvin, which soared to the top of the Billboard charts.
Since then, the reggaeton artist, who is dating fellow Colombian Karol G, has released albums «Así Como Suena», - «19», - «FERXXO (VOL 1: M.O.R)», - «BAHÍA DUCATI», - «INTER SHIBUTA — LA MAFIA», - «FELIZ CUMPLEAÑOS FERXXO TE PIRATEAMOS EL ÁLBUM» — this album was leaked before its release, «MOR», - «No Le Temas a La Oscuridad», - and «FERXXOCALIPSIS». He recently released a joint album with Yandel titled «MANIFESTING 20−05 — EP».
In the past, the Colombian artist toured several times with previous albums in small venues, then moved on to arenas. But this year in April, he embarked on a tour of the USA with the FERXXOCALIPSIS tour, starting in Seattle, and performed in several arenas. He performed some of his best hits, such as «Bubalu» with Remy, «Luna» with ATL Jacob, «El Cielo» with Sky Rompiendo and Mike Towers, «Classy» with Young Miko, and others. He didn’t stop there and invited surprise artists to the stage, such as Ryan Castro, Arcangel, Yandel, and many others, whose fans were illuminated in green — his signature color.
The culmination of the cool 360-degree stage will take place this Saturday, July 6, in Miami, where Feyd will perform — on the last day of this tour — at the stadium for the first time. The artist, known for his green hat worn backwards and Oakley glasses, will take the stage at the Hard Rock Stadium, accommodating up to 65,326 people.
In addition to performing at the stadium for the first time, he recently opened the 2024 America’s Cup, bringing his urban rhythms to fans awaiting the start of the first match at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on June 20. Adding to these achievements, he became the cover story of Billboard magazine in March 2023
