The logo adds that «Better Man follows Robbie’s journey from childhood, when he was the youngest member of the popular boy band Take That, to his unparalleled achievements as a bestselling solo artist — all the while facing the challenges that stratospheric fame and success can bring».
In the trailer, Robbie says: «I know what you’re thinking. What’s with the monkey? I’m Robbie Williams. I’m one of the most popular pop stars in the world. But I’ve always seen myself as a little less evolved».
The teaser also shows Robbie’s childhood. In one scene, he appears as a monkey playing soccer, then the trailer transitions to a montage of Robbie’s rise to fame.
The clip also hints to viewers that Robbie’s story cannot be «told in a conventional way» — hence the monkey.
