«Jurassic World Rebirth movie: official title and first photos with Scarlett Johansson»

The new film «Jurassic World» from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment received its official title on Thursday morning, along with a couple of first photos featuring Scarlett Johansson.
Directed by Gareth Edwards, the film is set to be released in theaters on July 2, 2025, with a screenplay by David Koepp, who also wrote the original «Jurassic Park» released in 1993.
The seventh installment of the franchise, which is already 31 years old, will feature an ensemble cast including Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali, who were also featured in the first photos, along with Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, David Yacono, Audrina Miranda, Filipina Velge, Beshir Sylvain, and Ed Skrein.
The studio unveiled the film’s logo and a snippet of the film’s theme music in a post published on X, along with photos from the film. One image shows characters Johansson and Bailey sitting in tall grass, while another shows Ali’s character screaming while holding a torch.

According to the official synopsis, the film takes place five years after the events of Colin Trevorrow’s «Jurassic Park Dominion», - when «the planet’s ecology has become largely unsuitable for dinosaurs». The previous installment was released in theaters in June 2022 and starred Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, as well as returning to «Jurassic Park» Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Sam Neill.
«Those that remain exist in isolated equatorial environments with a climate reminiscent of the one in which they once thrived», - the synopsis continues. «The three most colossal creatures in this tropical biosphere hold the key to a cure that will bring miraculous vital benefits to humanity».
Johansson plays undercover operations expert Zora Bennett, hired to lead an experienced team on a secret mission to secure genetic material from the three most massive dinosaurs in the world.
«When Zora’s operation intersects with a civilian family whose ship expedition vessel was overturned by marauding aquatic dinosaurs, they all find themselves stranded on an island where they must confront a sinister, shocking discovery hidden from the world for decades».
