The film «Wicked» was perhaps the most anticipated cinematic event of 2024. The adaptation of the popular Broadway musical quickly won hearts around the world. With the powerful voice of Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and the lively Glinda played by Ariana Grande, the dynamic duo delivered a performance that we will never forget — and the second part is still a year away from us! To satisfy fans, the film will soon be available for home viewing. So when will everyone be able to start watching «Wicked»?
Ariana and Cynthia have repeatedly opened up about their experience working together. As fans recall, their press tour was full of sweet and emotional moments as they reminisced about their dream roles. Even the performer of the hit «we can’t be friends (wait for your love)» shared a tearful «goodbye» with the iconic pink Glinda bubble on set. Ari posted a video on Instagram in December 2024, where she was in full Glinda attire, crying.
«trying to say goodbye to my bubble after we finished shooting my last scene in it (just in the bubble, not the last scene in the film!), which, actually, is one of the first scenes you see», - Ariana wrote in her caption to the clip. «the attachment I felt to my wand and my bubble was comically overwhelming. (don't be afraid to laugh)! there were many, many long, beautiful days spent here, under the sun, under icy rain and wind. we sang, we laughed, we shared tearful, complex moments and silly ones at the same time. these props and physical parts of her puzzle hold so much !!! her bubble was a home away from home. a protective shell and a quiet, safe place for all her little secrets and truths. her wand filled the void in her heart, gave her a sense of purpose, strength, and magic, even if that magic was somewhat in her head. I often miss these physical parts of her».
