The series premiered in September 2024, airing every Wednesday. According to IMDb, the plot begins as follows: «When a new series of tragedies strikes the town of Westview, the famous Agatha Harkness finds herself powerless, until a suspicious goth helps her break free from a distorted spell». The plot continues with Agatha’s interest piqued: «Her interest is piqued when he begs her to take him on the legendary Witch’s Road, a magical gauntlet of trials that, if passed, rewards the witch with what she lacks. Together, Agatha and this mysterious goth gather a desperate assembly and set off down, down, the Road».

Show creator Jack Shafer hinted at possible storylines in an interview with The Decider, saying: «With this show, we wanted to tell a complete story, and I hope we did that. But as a fan and a viewer, I believe that all of these characters have many more stories to tell».
From the creation of the Witch’s Road by Billy to Agatha’s self-sacrifice for him, the first season allows viewers to see how Agatha and Billy (played by Joe Locom) come together in search of Billy’s brother, Tommy.
