Gaten Matarazzo remembered the moment when a woman in her 40s confessed her love for him during the podcast «Inside of You With Michael Rosenbaum». At some point during the episode, the «Stranger Things» star was asked about funny encounters with fans, which led him to mention an interaction that was not so funny at the time, but rather «annoying».
«It's funny to say… There are some that are a bit awkward. For example, I remember just recently — it’s not very funny, but the reactions around it were quite amusing — where this woman in her 40s straight up said, 'I've had a strong attraction to you since you were 13.' And I was like, 'That's annoying.' I’m sure she just meant it like 'Oh, that boy is cute.' But then she insisted — 'I'm aware of the age difference'», - shared the 21-year-old actor.
«And then I was like, 'Okay'… And her daughter was with her, and her daughter said, 'Mom, what the hell?' I swear, this girl must have been like 13. She said, 'Mom, what the hell?'» said the bold fan, all this while standing next to Gaten’s mother.
«It was insane», - he added.
The actor, who played Dustin, began appearing in the sci-fi series when he was just 13 years old, alongside his co-stars Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, and Noah Schnapp. «It was a big chunk of time, and I think when you have five kids from completely different parts of the world, mostly, I think when you force these kids to be together when they’re 12, when the kids are nervous and cranky and everyone’s on edge, it sets the foundation for later to be able to say 'Wasn't that funny?' kind of weirdly. You know what I mean? When you’re stuck with the same people, you tend to argue and stuff, and it just makes it so much better now when you can look back and say, that was so cool that we had that outlet and that we all stayed so close moving forward».
Recently married Millie, Jake Bongiovi’s wife, even spoke out in an interview with ET in March. «It's really strange because you grew up with these people and can no longer do what we love to do together. But it’s not the end of our friendship», - said the actress who plays Eleven.
With the blink of an eye, all the kids have grown up, and reports suggest they are set to release the fifth and final season of «Stranger Things» either at the end of 2024 or in 2025
